Kayote was co-founded in 2003 by Baruch Sterman, Ph.D., formerly the CTO and Chief Scientist for Deltathree, Inc.

Baruch Sterman, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Sterman, a recognized industry expert in VoIP technologies, is a technical visionary who has published numerous technology papers and holds multiple patents. He is responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s real-time billing system and SIP network.

Prior to founding Kayote, Dr. Sterman served as Vice President of R&D and Chief Scientist at Deltathree, Inc. (Nasdaq:DDDC). Prior to Deltathree, he worked in the Satellite Communications division at AT&T's Bell Labs, and as a consultant to Israeli businesses in database design, billing systems, and automated data flow.

Dr. Sterman holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Hebrew University and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.

Philip Serlin, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Serlin has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, most recently as VP Finance of Tescom Software Systems Testing Ltd., a global IT services company publicly traded in both Tel Aviv and London. Prior to working at Tescom, Mr. Serlin served as VP Finance at Chiaro Networks Ltd., which raised over $200 million in private funding, and was the Head of US Accounting and SEC Services for Deloitte in their National Office in Tel Aviv. Before moving to Israel in 1992, Mr. Serlin worked at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington DC for over 6 years. Mr. Serlin has a BS degree in Accounting from Yeshiva University, and a Masters degree in Economics and Public Policy from The George Washington University. Mr. Serlin is also a CPA
